10 questions
What types of projects does Aureon Studio take on?

We work across residential, commercial, and multipurpose projects — from single-room refurbishments and whole-house transformations to workplace fit-outs, wellness centres, boutique hospitality, and mixed-use developments. No project is too considered; if it involves creating thoughtful, enduring space, we want to hear about it.

Do you work with clients outside the UK?

Yes. While our studio is based in London and most of our work is across the UK, we have delivered projects internationally — including in Bali, Portugal, and the UAE. We are happy to discuss international commissions and can arrange virtual consultations and regular site visits as required.

How long does a typical project take?

Timelines vary significantly by project scope. A single-room interior refurbishment might take 3–6 months from first brief to completion. A full residential extension and refurbishment typically runs 12–24 months, including planning. Commercial fit-outs often fall between 6–18 months. We set realistic timelines at the outset and keep you informed throughout.

What is your design process from brief to completion?

Our process has five stages: Discovery (understanding your brief, budget, and aspirations), Concept Design (initial spatial and aesthetic direction), Developed Design (detailed drawings, material palettes, and planning applications where needed), Technical Design (construction information for contractors), and Delivery (contract administration and site oversight through to handover). We adapt this to suit each project.

Do you handle planning permission applications?

Yes. For projects requiring planning permission — including extensions, change of use, listed building consent, and works in conservation areas — we prepare and submit full planning applications on your behalf and liaise with the Local Planning Authority throughout the process.

What is the difference between your Commercial and Residential services?

Residential projects are centred on how you live — creating homes that are calm, functional, and personal. Commercial projects focus on brand experience, productivity, and regulatory compliance for workplaces, retail, and hospitality environments. Our Multipurpose service covers hybrid schemes that blend both, such as boutique hotels, wellness retreats, and mixed-use developments.

How do fees and billing work?

Our fees are typically structured as a percentage of the construction cost, agreed at the outset and broken into stage payments aligned to our design process. For smaller interior design commissions we may agree a fixed fee. We provide a detailed fee proposal before any work begins — there are no hidden costs.

Can I see examples of completed work?

Absolutely. Our Projects section showcases a selection of recent completed work across all three service areas. We are also happy to arrange a more in-depth portfolio review during an initial consultation, including projects not yet published online.

Do you offer virtual consultations?

Yes. We offer 30-minute virtual discovery calls via video conference for prospective clients who are based outside London or prefer to meet remotely before committing to an in-person meeting. These sessions are complimentary and are a chance for us to understand your project and for you to learn more about how we work.
